Opportunities for Youth, Veterans, Job Seekers
- Partner with Virginia Career Works to provide On-The-Job Training for workers facing barriers to employment. Over the last 2 years, Aerofin has hired more workers than any other company in the region through this partnership
- Virginia G3 - Ambassador for the program which is a tuition assistance program for any Virginia resident who qualifies for in-state financial aid and whose family income falls below an identified threshold.
- Virginia Works Registered Apprenticeship - The apprenticeship model is an opportunity to get on-the-job training while being able attend classes at a local community college, vocational-technical center, online, and on the job without accumulating debt.
- Virginia Values Veterans V3 Program - The V3 Program helps employers develop and implement successful, long-term strategies to recruit, hire, and retain Virginia Veterans.
- The Worlds of Opportunity Career Expo - An event for 7th and 8th graders in the Lynchburg area to provide hands-on activities for students and raise awareness of the extraordinary career pathways in our region.
- Central VA Welding Wars at Central Virginia Community College - Sponsor of this annual competition for high school, college and professional welders to compete in a series of test to assess their skills and abilities in welding designed to generate awareness of the welding profession.
